Holy Week. Semana Santa. Mahal na Araw / whatever you want to call it – but for a lot it also means a prolonged holiday (hope that we don’t tend to forget the true significance of this occasion). Anyways, we just spent the holy week at house but were in Cavite for the Good Friday. We watched two Taiwanese series in ‘marathon’. And it was as if lucky fluke that I got a glimpse of Studio 23’s Bible Code: Apocalypse and Beyond show.
.
Bible codes are ‘hidden’ messages in the bible that are revealed using the method of ELS (Equidistant Letter Sequence). The result not just pertains to an ordinary message but is actually to the phenomenon that has happened in our history; surprisingly, it also apparently even tells what might happen in the future. *stunned*
.
It even shows some (if not all) of the great events that happened in our olden times (i.e. Twin towers attack, US Presidents’ momentous actions, famous assassinations etc). Questions you have in mind may be, it’s just might be the same predictions that Nostradamus had, conversely all of the mathematicians, scientists, computer analysts including the discoverer of the bible code being interviewed agreed that Nostradamus’ prophecy is subjective, whereas in bible code it is actually with complete statistical evidence, has been proved mathematically and scientifically, and no ambiguity but purely objectivity. Others are even exposed with complete date and place and still others are with absolute and precise details.
.
Yet, after watching the show, numerous questions and opinions remain in my head.
.
1. Are all these are truth or just opinions fabricated by these researchers? Definitely it’s unfathomable.
2. If all the things exposed in the bible code, whether it may be true or not, past or future, one issue will still surface, do we have actually the FREE WILL or are just bounded by the fate we’re destined for?
3. These breakthroughs may lead us to further discoveries in terms of medicine and technology.
4. The bible code could predict the future. If so, if this future concerns to dilemmas (i.e. war, assassinations etc) do we have the power to prevent or avoid it or just accept it at all?
5. If the ability to foretell the future is one of the good things we can get out from these codes, what use and significance it is, if we can’t change it anyways?
6. Since bible codes are revealed through the use of computer program created by computer scientists, is it the revelation of such information the one at stake, or are just being used to advertise this program?
7. Do the great prophets that wrote the bible actually know these hidden messages or the studies that lead to such discoveries are just a mere coincidence of the turned out events?
8. Why and what probable reason do God really want us to perceive in these eye-opener findings?
9. Man is on the road of ending days. *sigh*
10. Everything, including earth will expire.
.
Whatever answers to these questions are, fundamental truth lies beneath this. I only hope that we still have ENOUGH time to create and choose our destiny before we are fated to become a history. ^-*
